When asked to provide my professional bio I usually begin: “Long ago, in a galaxy far away I use to have an office job – fitted suits and pantyhose, salary reviews, cake in the public sector boardroom – where I felt like a prisoner in great shoes.” But that’s just part of the story.
My leap of faith from then to now has been a successful one. I realized I am a curious soul with a compelling need to explore the beauty and essence of the world around me. My work is dictated by the belief that it is the narrative, the stories of people, places and ideas that can inspire all of us to slow down and be more conscious of the world around us.
So every morning when I wake up I can’t help but think, “Somebody pinch me: I get to write for a living.”
I am passionate about communciation. I believe in smart, straightforward language that doesn’t hide behind fancy words or bloated jargon. I believe the best stories are the ones that touch an aspect of the greater human experience.
I believe that everything is connected, and I continue to seek out experiences that expand my world view. Everything I see, hear, touch, smell and taste influences my writing, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
